Mary continued her nursing career at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital where she lovingly and compassionately cared for her patients until her retirement in 1990. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and camping in her much-loved motorhome and was proud to have visited 49 states. She spent the next decade in Tampa, FL where she embraced the Florida lifestyle at the senior living community where she lived. She swam daily and involved herself in community and church activities as a key member of the social committee before returning to Syracuse. An avid knitter, Mary knitted many beautiful sweaters and blankets, but was especially appreciated for her personalized Christmas stockings that she knit by the dozens for family and friends. She was a communicant at Blessed Sacrament Church.
