Jerome V. Duda, 83, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday at home surrounded by family. Jerry is predeceased by his parents Stanley J. and Alice Duda of E. Syracuse as well as brothers Daniel and Gregory Duda. He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School and the University of Pennsylvania with an Associates Degree. Jerry for many years was employed by Davis Ulmer Sprinkler Co. as a Journeyman Sprinkler fitter. He retired from Syracuse Codes Enforcement Department.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years former Madeline "Pat" Garvey, a daughter Kelley L. (Mark) Tobin, of Tully, three sons Jay (Tammy), of Chittenango, Scott (Jill) of Exton, PA., Edward, of Camillus, three brothers Stanley (Penny), of N. Syracuse, Richard (Mary), of N. Syracuse, Bernard (Laure), of Milford CT., three sisters Helen Duda, of E. Syracuse, Mary Margaret (Francis) Scanlon, of Kirkville, Kathryn (Andrew) Crandall, of E. Syracuse, Six grandchildren Craig (Erica) Duda, of Illion,Katie (Jamie) Robinson, of Chittenango, Tiernan and Liam Tobin, of Tully, Trent Duda and Caroline Duda, both of Fla.,two great grandchildren.
Memorial Services in 10:00am Friday in St. Vincent de Paul Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
