Bonita Alice Massett, age 80, passed away at home after a long, arduous battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband Tom and children.
Bonnie was born the oldest of nine children on April 13, 1942, to John Henry and Nora Alice (Gardner) Bennink in Syracuse, NY

Bonnie married her childhood sweetheart, Thomas Massett Sr. on August 29, 1959. They lovingly raised their ten children. Despite her large family, Bonnie always made time for everyone with a listening ear and a compassionate heart. She and her husband Tom gave generously to their children, as well as friends and extended families.
Bonnie was a member of the Altar Rosary at Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church in Warners, NY since 1985. She was involved in Syracuse Right-to-Life and a passionate advocate for the pro-life movement. Her most cherished virtue was her ability to bring comfort and joy to everyone who knew her.
Bonnie is predeceased by her daughters, Joan Longo, Donna Peters, and Lisa Sullivan, her parents and brothers, John and James Bennink.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, her four sons-Tom(Debbie), David(Canan), Louis (Amber), and John (Sharon); her three daughters Annemarie Mioni (Tony), Mary Roppel (Jon), and Rose Massett Ziff. As well as, 72 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren, her beloved siblings, sisters Nonie and Linda,  and brothers, Bruce, Robert, Mark, and Philip, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many dear friends.

Funeral Mass Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. Cecilia's Church, 1001 Woods Rd. Solvay. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7Pm Gang Memorial Chapel.
