Obituary

Scott C. Dunseath February 25, 2015 Scott C. Dunseath, 60, Formerly of Lyncourt, passed away Wednesday at Van Duyn Nursing Home.  Born in Brooklyn, he grew up on Staten Island and came to Syracuse in 1974.  He was a decorated police officer, spending 7 years with the Syracuse City Police Department and retiring after 13 additional years with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department.  After retiring, he then worked for Le Moyne College.  In his free time Scott enjoyed, most, camping and traveling with his family. He is survived by his wife Cathy (McGee) Dunseath, two daughters, Katie (Brendan) Whipple, Kelsey (Chuck Bolster) Dunseath, two sons, Scott Dunseath, Jeff (Katy Burns) Dunseath, three brothers David, Phillip, and Kirk Dunseath, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday 4-7pm at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd at Teall Ave.  Private Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at michaeljfox.org
