Robert E. Zimmer September 17, 2013 Robert E. Zimmer, 82, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday surrounded by his loving children at James Square Nursing Home. He was a life resident of Syracuse. He was owner and operator of several Taxis Companies over most of his life. He was a communicant of Assumption Church. He was predeceased by his wife former Shirley Fahsel in 2010. He is survived by a son Robert (Gerri) Zimmer, of Auburn, three daughters Kathy (Raymond) Symer, of N. Syracuse, Sandy (Roger Anson) Kaljeskie, of Syracuse, Judy(Rich) Carta, of Liverpool, a sister Beverly Cavallaro, of Cicero, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services 8:30 am Saturday at Gang Memorial Chapel 9:00am in Assumption Church. Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are Friday 4-7PM at the Funeral Home 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave. The family wishes to thank the caring staff  on four south at James Square for their great care of Robert for several years.
