73 of Fulton, NY, passed away on
March 27, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Rick lived in Fulton his entire life but spent his summers in Fairhaven, NY.
Rick enjoyed classic cars, going to the Syracuse Nationals, going on motorcycle rides, and camping during the summer months. Rick had a sense of
Humor that would make anyone laugh. Rick also loved being with his dog Junior, they went everywhere together.
Rick is predeceased by his parents, Robert Joesph Hobby and Ursel Jane Fiore, and his son Richard Robert Hobby Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Zeh.
His friends were his family.
Rick was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran; he was a long-time electrician and also retired from the Steelworkers Union. He then opened his own auto repair shop, R&B Auto, until he retired. Rick loved spending time with his camp friends and spent countless hours among friends at Chris's Car Care.
Rick was a huge supporter of animals, animal causes, and our veterans. He was a huge supporter of 60 for 60 The Mohawk Run Inc., as it was founded in memory of one of his best friends. Rick had a kind heart and would help anyone in need.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Fulton Polish Home on Saturday June 13th, starting at 3pm. Followed by a private burial
