Paul E. Usiatynski

Paul Edwin Usiatynski, 70, was born July 11, 1955 to Dolores "Dolly" (Piela) and Edwin Usiatynski in Syracuse. Paul was a graduate of West Genesee High School in 1973. He received his pipefitting certification from the plumbers and pipefitters Local 286, Austin TX in 1985. He was a voracious fan of film and music, amassing an extensive and eclectic collections of movies and music as well as a library on both. Paul had great artistic talent, drawing a "Pretty Faces" collection for his Mom.

He met his future wife Cathi at his's sisters wedding when they caught the garter and flowers. They married in Austin, Texas in 1983 and the following year they renewed their vows in New York with friends and family. After several years in Texas, they moved back to New York and made their home in Fabius. Paul put his pipefitting to good use, working for 30 years at G.A. Braun Inc. He was predeceased by his mother Dolly Hoyt in 2020.

Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years former Cathi Schmid, a sister Carol Owen, a cousin Judi Abert and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Calling hours will be Thursday November 6th from 4-6pm at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave. Syracuse.
