Oresto "Russ" Nemeti, 97, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at Loretto Health Care Center. Born to the parents of Oresto and Assunta Russo Nemeti  was a life resident of the Syracuse area. Russ was a Marine Corps Veteran of both WWII and Korean Wars. Early in life he worked for Drumlins and later owned and operated Fiddlers Green in Jamesville. He was predeceased by his wife former Josephine Pelligano in 2004.

Russ is survived by two sons Russell (Norma) Nemeti Jr. and Michael Nemeti, and three grandsons.

Service will be private.
