Mary C. Santorelli

Mary Covino Santorelli, 92, long time resident of N. Syracuse passed away Friday at Malta Manor. Mary was born October 12, 1920 in Syracuse to the late Patsy and Lena Covino. She was a secretary and started her work career as a court stenographer for the City of Syracuse and then worked for Covino Brother Construction Company until she retired for her late brothers Patrick and Thomas Covino. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Mary was also a member of the Daughters of Columbus.
Mary loved life and lived every minute like it was her last. She did leather crafting as a hobby and was quite the card player. Her interests and accomplishments are too many to mention. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1986 and her son Gary Santorelli.
She is survived by her grandchildren Nicole Santorelli, of Apex NC, Amy Alfano, of Stratford CT, Katie, Gary, Joseph Santorelli, of Solvay. She also leaves behind her nieces
Barbara Cabral, of West Bridgewater, MA, Laurel Jones, of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Capp, of Cicero, her nephews Patrick Capp, of Manlius and Martin Covino, of Fayetteville.
Memorial Services 9:30 am Wednesday at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave. 10:00 am in St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. There will no calling hours.
