Lorenza Laporta December 22, 2012 Lorenza Annacchino Laporta, 105, of Syracuse passed away Saturday at James Square Nursing Home three days short of her 106th Birthday. She was born in Naples, Italy came came to the US in 1916. She was a seamstress with Leabury Clothing for over twenty years. Lorenza was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. She was predeceased by her husband Angelo in 1983. Lorenza is survived by a son Carmen (Gloria) Laporta, of Mechanicesville, two granddaughters Loretta (Jeff) Hanington, Susan (Jeff) Malatesta, a grandson David (Tina) Laporta. seven grandchildren. Services 9:30 am Thursday at Gang Memorial Chapel a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-4pm Wednesday at the funeral home 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.
