James J. Granan

James Joseph Granan, 82, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Saturday. James was born on April 30, 1935 in Albany, N.Y. to Harold Joseph Granan and Mary Going Granan. Jim grew up in Schenectady, NY and graduate from Mount Pleasant High School. Jim Served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Japan from 1954 to 1956. He attended Suffolk University in Boston, MA after his term in the Army. While living in Boston Jim became manager of a finance company and was credit manager for W.T. Grant Company. The last thirty years of his working career he spent as a member of the Local 40 and 633. He enjoyed movies and spending time with his family. Jim is predeceased by his former wife, MaryJohanna Fitzgerald Granan, both his parents, a brother William Granan, and both his sisters Regina Bush and Marlene Lane.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (David) Lobdell,of Syracuse Michael (Amy) Granan, of Dewitt, Joseph, of Liverpool, Mark and Jimmy, of Syracuse, Kathy ( Jabari) Patton, of California, Patricia (Nelson) DelValle, of Maryland, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
