Helen Markowski

Helen Kulak Markowski, 102, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Monday at home. She was a life resident of the Syracuse area. Helen retired from General Motors Company after 45 years of service. She loved, aside from her family, gardening, cooking and gambling. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Walter J. Markowski in 1997, three sisters Ann Nizolek, Stella Listowski and Jane Garbinsky, two brothers Thomas and Frank Kulak.

Helen is survrived by three daughters, Carol Markowski-Kowalik, Marilyn Markowski, Joyce (George) Xylas, a brother Leo Kulak, two grandsons William (Stephanie) Kowalik, Mark (Kelly)  Xylas, three great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10:00AM in Transfiguration Church. Entombment in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dewitt. Calling hours are Thursday 2-4 PM at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.
