Gisella Cianflone December 18, 2012 Gisella Roth Cianflone, 93, of Syracuse passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday. She was born December 10, 1919 in Trieste, Italy to the parents of Lodovico and Erminia Cociancich Roth. She was retired from Caldwell and Brass Company. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. Gisella was a kind and intelligent lady, with a sharp mind and unmatched wit. She had a great sense of humor and would often play jokes on her friends and family members. She was a voracious reader and read works of fiction and history that were written in English as well as Italian. She could also finish challenging crossword puzzles that were composed in more than one language.  Her warm smile and compassionate heart will be remember by her loved ones and those whose lives she touched. She was always generous and she gave away much of what she had to whoever had a need greater than hers. While we are saddened by her gratefully going to a better place, those she left behind will always remember her and cherish her memory. And we all rest confident in the knowledge that we will see one another again one day. She is survived by a son Roberto Cianflone, of Brunswick, MD, two granddaughters Mary and Cordelia Cianflone, both of Albuquerque, NM. Services 11:00am Thursday at Gang Memorial Chapel.
