George McQueen

George R McQueen Jr. of Manlius, New York passed away January 28, 2022 at home following a brief illness at the age of 87.

Born May 12, 1934, the son of George R McQueen Sr. of Syracuse, NY and Marion (DeShane) McQueen of Little Falls, NY.

Following his graduation from Tully Central School, George joined the U.S. Navy and served 4 years as an airplane and Zeppelin mechanic and received an honorable discharge. He was a Korean War Veteran. George was employed by Western Electric, Ashland Oil, St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center and Fradon Lock Company in Syracuse, NY.

George is survived by his children Cynthia A. (McQueen) Wilczak, George R. McQueen III and ex-wife Judith A. (Drake) McQueen. Nieces and nephews include: Wayne, Mark and Craig Warner. Robin (Drake) Swind, Kevin, Wayne, Kathy (Drake) Bowers and Cheryl (Drake) Monsour. Conrad, Ronald and Marty Bush.

Donations can be made to the Veterans Administration or the Heart Association in Syracuse, NY.

George will be laid to rest in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Syracuse, NY in the Spring.
