Elizabeth A. Romeo, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in Getzville, NY.

Betty was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grand- mother and great grandmother who dedicated herself to her

family and the Catholic faith. Recently she said some of her

greatest memories were raising her four children and spend- ing quality time with her five grandchildren while also getting

to know her two great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. Elizabeth was born in Syracuse and has resided in the Buffalo area for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Romeo, in 1994. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Greg (Natascha) and Chris Romeo; two daughters, Lisa Romeo (Kirk) Spitler and Maria Hanssel; three brothers, Emmett, Karl, and Stephen Slake; one sister, Sr.

Natalie Slake, CSJ; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kather- ine) and Andrew (Lauren) Badura, Zachary and Marisa Romeo

and Sophie Hanssel; and two great grandchildren, Jack and Charlotte Badura. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 740 Teall Avenue, Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. There will be no calling hours. Gang Memorial Chapel, 104 Fordham Road, Syracuse, is assisting the family.
