Obituary

Beverly Jane Cavallaro (Bev), born July 23, 1929, in Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at home in North Syracuse on November 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Bev was known for her sassy humor, wit, and straightforward nature. She was a pillar of strength and love to all who knew her.

Bev was the cherished daughter of Lavina and Leonard Zimmer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Victor (Vic) Cavallaro; her daughter, Lavina (Larry) Snyder; and her sons, Danny (Nan) Cavallaro and Steve (Pat) Cavallaro. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Despite these losses, Bev's spirit remained strong, and her heart full of love for her family.

She is survived by her grandchildren, John Snyder, Laurie Vail, David Cavallaro, Missy Cavallaro, Lisa Cavallaro, Nick Cavallaro, and Jeff Cavallaro; as well as many great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy. Bev's strength, resilience, and nurturing nature will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Calling hours will be Saturday, November 30, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Gang Memorial Chapel, 104 Fordham Rd, Syracuse, NY 13203. A funeral mass will follow at 11am at Assumption Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice CNY in her memory.

Bev will forever remain in our hearts as a guiding light and a source of unconditional love. Rest in peace, Gram.
