Dr. A. Carole Covino September 5, 2014 Dr. Carole Covino of Longboat Key, Florida passed away peacefully on September 5, 2014, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in the presence of her beloved son Patrick W. Covino and her longtime companion Michael S. Cole. Dr. Covino obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Wellesley College in Massachusetts  and  Master's and PHD degrees from Syracuse University. In her 38 year teaching career she taught in the Liverpool and North Syracuse School Districts and at Syracuse University. She retired from Gillette Road Middle School in 2005 and resided in Longboat Key, Fl. Carole was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved teaching, cooking, reading and the beach. She is survived by her sons Patrick W. Covino (Corinne) of East Syracuse and John D. Covino, Jr. of Binghamton, her fiance Michael S. Cole of Syracuse and Longboat Key, Fl. and grandson's Joseph and Paul Covino. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00am Tuesday in St. Daniel's Church 3004 Court St. Burial in St. Mary's  Cemetery following mass.
